'Fresh Chicken Share' Information

We are again offering a 'Fresh Chicken Share".  

 Members will receive one fresh (not frozen) whole chicken on each date listed below, for a total of six chickens between the beginning of June and the end of October.

 We will send out a reminder email the week of delivery each month.

Chickens are delivered to the CSA pickup location along with the produce  shares.

 The Fresh Chicken Share is a 'stand-alone' option, you do NOT have to sign-up for a Vegetable or Egg Share. [just be sure to choose the  "No Vegetable Share" and "No Egg Share" options. ]

Chickens will be raised using the same environmentally friendly, humane methods that are used with all of our animals. Chickens have access to grass and the outdoors. Some are free range; some live in portable outdoor pens that can be moved to fresh grass as needed. These chickens are not necessarily certified organic, though many of our meat producers adhere to standards more stringent than any organic certification agency.  The projected dates for fresh chicken delivery are:
