Winter CSA begins next Wednesday (11/29), and box customization begins on Black Friday.
We are approaching our share limit for the winter (due to limited produce), so if you were thinking about signing up for Winter CSA, don't put it off.
What's available in the winter?
We have storage crops like squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and onions. There may be some cabbage and broccoli depending on whether they keep well. Harmony Grove Farm also grows lots of winter greens and some lettuce in their heated greenhouse. Plus you can choose from our various pastured meats, eggs, cheese, milk, maple, honey, and lots more to fill out your box. Since you can customize your share, you receive just what you want in your box each time.
Shares can be picked up in four communities this year (Butler, Grove City, Hermitage, and Slippery Rock). If your community is not listed, it's because there isn't enough interest there for winter shares.
