It's here! Some of you just had a week off for Thanksgiving after finishing up Summer/Fall CSA on November 15. Some of you are old friends who have come back for a new season. And others are brand new to NWPA Growers. We want to wish a warm welcome to all of you.
I don't know about you, but I ate entirely too much at our Thanksgiving meal. We had a very nice family day with lots of good food and great conversation. Since today is Black Friday and I am working at our store (see below) from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., tonight's dinner will consist of Thanksgiving leftovers. I hope your Thanksgiving celebration was filling, both for your body and your soul.
How to place your order
NWPA Growers CSA is fully customized, so you receive exactly what you order in your share. A credit is added to your account before each delivery, and you then go shopping in our private online store. We custom fill your box next Wednesday and deliver it to your pickup location.

When you're finished adjusting your cart, click on "go to checkout."
If everything looks good on that page, click "continue to payment."
IMPORTANT STEP: You will see the amount of store credit available to you. Click on "apply store credit balance to order" or else your credit card will be charged. We do not cancel orders if you forget to apply your store credit; however, your credit will remain to use at a later date. If your total exceeds your store credit, the balance can be paid with your card on file.
Finalize your order by clicking "Place order and pay..."
You can place multiple orders each week if you wish, but once an order is placed it can not be changed.
This Week's Features
All the standard storage crops (squash, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, etc.)
Lots of greens and lettuce from Harmony Grove Farm
Moose Family Farm has ground turkey, turkey drumsticks, and turkey wings
CSA members have exclusive access to our store on Friday and Saturday. We open the store to non-members on Sundays.
At Glacial Till Farm, the whole family gets involved in planting garlic. It's all in the ground and covered up for a long winter's nap, waiting to sprout up in the spring.
At Bushel & a Peck Farm we've been busy butchering our final batch of meat chickens for our family this year. We also butchered several turkeys in the past week. Our cattle and sheep are almost finished with their pasture rotation, so we will begin to move them all back to our main farm this week where they will graze on hay all winter until the spring grasses fill our pastures again. We're also busy with our store, Philson & Friends Artisanal Wares at Grove City Outlets, a seasonal store that's open through January 1 featuring locally-made products.
If you have trouble ordering or have any questions about CSA, please email me. I will check my email as often as I can on Black Friday, but please be patient. I do not work from 4 PM Friday until Saturday night, so if you email me during that time I will reply Saturday night.
Happy CSA shopping!
