2024 CSA Week 4

We got some much-needed rain this week after the hot, dry spell we just came through. The rain and the hot temps some days have made many of our veggies grow like crazy. And the weeds too. It's often difficult to stay on top of the weeds when you're growing on a larger scale, despite abundant mulch.

Heat has a huge effect on tender crops like lettuce, making the lettuce turn bitter and wilt in the field. There's nothing to do then except scrap it and start a new bed. However, Harmony Grove Farm raises their lettuce hydroponically with all-natural minerals which makes the lettuce grow quickly, preventing bitterness.  Have you tried their delicious lettuces?

Payment Plan

For those on the payment plan, the next payment is due on July 1. I will create invoices on Sunday or Monday and process payments as long as you have a payment source on file. If you use your bank account as your payment source, please ensure your balance can cover the payment. If you don't have a payment source on file, you will receive an invoice via email. If the invoice goes unpaid, your store credit will not be added to your account after your first payment has been used up.
